Preventing Terrorism. Shaping Peace

The mission of Rise to Peace (R2P) is to provide actionable information and educational tools to help prevent terrorism and extremism around the world. Through intelligent research, we aim to formulate policies and programs to help steer vulnerable people away from violent extremism and towards an education that empowers the individual, supports diversity, and builds a path of tolerance and hope. Rise to Peace professionals perform field research, develop customized services and solutions that help deter, detect, and mitigate the cruel effects of terrorism.

In an effort to achieve our mission, further aid vulnerable communities around the world, and offer our research findings to those in positions to make a difference, such as policymakers, Rise to Peace seeks a select group of individuals to become Counter-Terrorism Research Fellows. Responsibilities include conducting research, policy analysis, and writing reports, as well as tasks in support of our global projects. Both fellows and interns in this role will assess foreign and domestic terrorist groups, as well as lone-wolf terrorists, to identify specific threats, warn of and preempt attacks, disrupt their networks, and eventually, mitigate terrorist organizations or individuals focused on committing an act of terrorism. Fellows are expected to work remotely a minimum of 10-15 hours per week.
